The draw for the quarter final of the FA Cup has taken place at Wembley and an all-Championship affair between Millwall and Blackburn has ensured that at least one lower league side will be lining up at Wembley for the semi finals.
Having knocked Arsenal out on Saturday afternoon, Michael Appleton's Rovers side were rewarded with a trip to The Den to face Millwall, who have already gained Premier League scalps of their own in this seasons competition. Gunners fans are ruing the missed opportunity to be a win over a Championship side away from Wembley, but in all honesty based on their performances in the cups this season I would have billed Millwall as favourites anyway.
Oldham are getting a second chance to pull of another Merseyside upset and dump Everton out of the cup via a replay, and if they do they'll be hosting Wigan after Roberto Martinez's team beat Huddersfield 4-1 earlier in the day.
Premier League champions Manchester City were given another favourable draw having dispatched of Leeds United in comprehensive fashion on Sunday, they will face Barnsley at the Etihad in the next round.
Holders Chelsea are yet to play their 5th round tie having only sealed their place in that round today by beating Brentford 4-0 at Stamford Bridge in their 4th round replay, but if they manage to see off Middlesbrough a week on Wednesday they could be part of a potential tie of the round provided Manchester United beat Reading.
It's probably fair to say that based on this draw the FA Cup is most certainly up for grabs this season, and any side who may have had hopes of claiming a trophy this season and have already been knocked out will most certainly be kicking themselves. Now who on earth could that be applicable to...
