Real Madrid's veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Manchester United's long serving midfielder Paul Scholes will both miss out of the first leg of the last-16 Champions League tie between the Spanish champions and Premier League leaders on Wednesday night.
Casillas is still nursing a broken hand which is also likely to keep him out of the second leg at Old Trafford, whilst Scholes is yet to sufficiently recover from a knee injury he picked up last month.
The Spanish giants have no other injury concerns after resting several key players at the weekend, whilst Manchester United don't expect knocks to Michael Carrick and Jonny Evans to keep them out of the fixture. Ashley Young has also returned to the squad along with Rio Ferdinand, who both missed the weekend win over Everton.
